Pentacles and Pentagrams are an important symbol to Pagans. The true meaning of the star unlocks the key to the entire universe. The elemental star as it is often know represents the 5 elements which comprise everything that exists; Earth, Air, Fire, Water and the most important Spirit. The Spirit always points up because it is the most important, and the circle is to protect the elements from all the evils of the world.
